Footloose Marks Final Musical for A-B Directing Team

 When Footloose opens
on January 31, make sure you have your seat. This musical, presented by A-B's
Proscenium Circus, features a score full of hits from the 1980’s (Holding
Out for a Hero, Almost Paradise, Let’s Hear it for the Boy, Footloose
). The

show is directed by Linda Potter, with music direction by Jeanie Furlan and

choreography by Liza Levy. The cast includes over 50 students and features an

appearance by members of the A-B Gymnastics Team.

Footloose will be the last
musical at A-B for this directing team. Linda Potter and Jeanie Furlan will
retire in June from A-B after over 40 years of teaching and directing, most of
which were at Acton-Boxborough Reg High School, the Acton

and Boxborough elementary schools and RJ Grey Junior High. And choreographer

Liza Levy, who has choreographed four productions with this team, will leave

the area for her job. Other long-time members of the team who will also be

leaving PC are Susan Williams (assistant director), Tom Peterman (set design)

and Sue Peterman (set painting).
