OPEN HOUSE

Oxbow Schoolhouse is a small, community-based private elementary school program serving children in Grades 1 - 6, where teachers strive to recognize each child’s individual gifts.  The curriculum and small community setting help the teachers work to bring out the best in each student.  The atmosphere is respectful, creative, and cooperative.  Oxbow Schoolhouse is organized around a few basic elements:

At Oxbow Schoolhouse, a child's desire to learn is supported by the developmentally appropriate Waldorf-inspired curriculum. We believe that elementary age children flourish when offered opportunities to make hands-on and heartfelt connections to the curriculum and the world around them. Waldorf inspired curriculum is designed to support the development of each individual child by building on their social, emotional, artistic and academic skills through their imaginations.
