Acton Actress to Star in 'A Little Princess'

An Acton actress will star in the Fiddlehead Theatre Company’s upcoming production of A Little Princess, a Boston area premiere and the first production from Fiddlehead since it became the resident company at Boston’s historic Strand Theatre.

Shana Dirik will place the starring role of “Miss Minchin,” according to a press release, which notes Dirik has been seen in numerous productions throughout the area, including turns as Miss Hannigan in Annie with Fiddlehead, as Mimi Schwinn in Moonbox Theatre’s production of A New Brain and as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard with Next Door Theatre.

A holiday family musical about a little girl with a big imagination, A Little Princess premieres Nov. 21 and runs through Dec. 8 at the Strand Theatre, located at 543 Columbia Road in Dorchester.
