Acton held its Veterans Day ceremonies at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, on the Town Common.
The event featured remarks by Veteran Service Officer James MacRae and selectman Mike Gowing, who served in the Marines during the Vietnam War, as well as volleys and musical selections by the Acton Minutemen and the group's Yankee Doodle Drum Corps. There was also a presentation on the history of the American flag.
