Colonials Thanksgiving Football Preview
Five things you need to know about the annual rivalry game between the Colonials of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and the Westford Academy Grey Ghosts.
1. Visiting Team: The annual Thanksgiving matchup between the Colonials and the Grey Ghosts of Westford Academy will take place in Westford at 10 a.m. on Thurday, Nov. 28. Tickets are available at the gate.
2. A Winning Record for the Colonials: Acton-Boxborough heads into the game with a 7-3 record. Although, the Colonials will be looking to end a two-game losing streak, which included a 35-0 loss to Central Catholic on Nov. 8, which ended A-B’s aspirations of a Super Bowl run.
3. Losing Record for the Grey Ghosts: Westford Academy, meanwhile, comes into the game with a 4-6 record, including a 48-24 loss earlier this year at Acton-Boxborough.

4. Turkey Day Dominance: The Colonials have largely handled the Grey Ghosts in their Thanksgiving meetings, including earning a hard-fought victory in a 36-35 nailbiter last year.
