What's Open, Closed on Christmas in Acton

It's a federal holiday. So even if you don't celebrate Christmas, it's best to plan accordingly.

Christmas is more than just a religious holiday.

Christmastime has become a seasonal public celebration that extends roughly from the day after Thanksgiving through the day school children resume classes after the New Year. Along with the Christmas holiday, Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights, andKwanzaa, the African-American and Pan-African holiday, are also celebrated during this period.  

Christmas is also a federal holiday, celebrated on Dec. 25. That's this Wednesday. And, because Christmas a federal holiday, it means even those who don't observe it should plan accordingly.
