When Do Acton's Schools Break for Thanksgiving?
Local students will have a few days off next week for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thanksgiving is next Thursday, which means food, family, friends and football.
The holiday also means turkey and travel -- an estimated 43.4 million Americans expected to travel. With all that going on, and all those Americans moving about, many students will have a few days off from school.
Just how many depends on the district. Wondering when Acton's public schools close for Thanksgiving?
We found on the Acton Public Schools and Acton-Boxborough Regional School District website, where the calendar says students will have a half-day on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the day before Thanksgiving.
School is obviously closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, for Thanksgiving Day. And the schools won't be in session on Friday, Nov. 29, either.
Acton students will return to the classroom on Monday, Dec. 2.
