ACTON & BOXBOROUGH DEMOCRATIC TOWN COMMITTEES COLLECTING FOOD FOR ACTON FOOD PANTRY

ACTON – The Acton and Boxborough Democratic Town Committees will be conducting a food drive for the AB Community Supper and Food Pantry on January 18, 2014. Volunteers will be at both Roche Brothers Supermarket (387 Massachusetts Ave., Acton) and Donelan’s Supermarket (248 Great Road, Acton) from 10am until 2pm to collect donations.

The Pantry is in most need of spaghetti sauce, cereal, canned fish and meats, peanut butter, jelly, rice, toothpaste, toilet paper, and diapers, though it is happy to receive any food or monetary  donations.

“Donations to food pantries statewide routinely fall off after the holidays, and Acton is no exception. The Acton and Boxborough Democratic Town Committees hope that we can keep that holiday giving spirit going and restock the shelves at the Acton Food Pantry come January,” said Phyllis Novick, Chair of the Acton Democratic Town Committee.
