LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Asking for Your Vote for Selectmen

Katie Green announces her candidacy for Acton Board of Selectmen.

When I moved to Acton over three years ago, the community welcomed me with open arms. As I began to meet people, I was taken by how devoted so many were to making the town the best that it could be. I was encouraged to get involved and currently volunteer on both the Acton Democratic Town Committee and the Acton-Area League of Women Voters.

Working for four years as the legislative aide for one of Acton’s state representatives, I developed a further understanding of the issues important to the town. I also learned how to work with people from all backgrounds and plan to actively seek out differing viewpoints so that I can better represent the entire community.

A product of the Hudson, Mass., public school system and the daughter of a long-time school committee member, I am a 26-year old Wellesley College graduate with an understanding of state issues and their impact on our town, a dedication to public service, and a commitment to this community.
