Acton Man Charged With Carrying Weapon, Drugs Near School

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following are arrests made in the last two weeks, according to police logs by the Acton Police Department.

Tuesday, Feb. 4

Police arrested Nicholas James Pellegrino, 26, of 71 Hosmer Street, Apt. 27, of Acton. He was arrested on a warrant for larceny under $250.

Officers arrested Osberto Barrios, 57, of 10 Carlisle Road, Westford, and charged him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and motor vehicle lights violation.

Thursday, Feb. 6

Acton Police arrested Nicholas R. Saylor, 25, of 91 Concord Road, Acton, after Concord Police issued a warrant for his arrest. Saylor was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation.

Sunday, Feb. 16

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on Charter Road at 7:18 p.m. After detaining a group of people, police made two arrests. Miles G. Hartung, 19, of 1 Townhouse Lane, Apt. 11, Acton, was arrested and charged with two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of Class D drugs with intent to distribute, possession of more than one ounce of marijuana and drug violation near a school or park. 

In addition, Philip F. Deaton, 25, also of 1 Townhouse Lane, Apt. 11, Acton, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250.

Monday, Feb. 17

After a call for a domestic incident on Avalon Drive, officers arrested Nicholas M. Levay, 36, of 5212 Avalon Drive, Acton. Levay was charged with assault and battery.
