Acton Police Report on Results from Operation Yellow Blitz

The following is from Acton Sgt. Raymond Grey.

On Wednesday, October 24, 2012 Officers from the Acton Police Department Traffic Unit took part in Operation Yellow Blitz. The Acton Police Traffic Officers rode in and followed school buses. They were looking for motorists that do not stop for school buses that are displaying red flashing lights and stop signs.

Several complaints will be followed up by the Traffic Unit. The fine for not stopping for a school bus that is displaying red flashing lights is $250 per violation.

The students appreciated having the officers on their buses and expressed their support for the operation.
