Acton PD Bags Boxborough Woman on Drug Charges

Arrest occurred around 5:30 a.m. Monday morning.

It was just about 5:30 a.m. on Monday morning, Oct. 7, when the red car, which had been running in the middle of the roadway, took off up Central Street as police approached. 

The ensuing chase, the police report says, ended with a cruiser-involved accident and, ultimately, an arrest. 

According to the Acton Police Department, the call came in at 5:28 a.m. reporting a vehicle running in the middle of Central Street with the operator still inside. Police responded to the scene and the vehicle took off up Central toward West Square, before the stop and subsequent cruiser crash. 

As a result, Sierra Dawn Young, 24, of H32 Spencer Road, Boxborough, was arrested and charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of drugs, operating under the influence of liquor and failure to stop for police.
