Bad Break: Acton Man Busted for Crystal Meth

Acton's first meth bust comes after more than month of surveillance by APD's Drug Unit and other agencies.

An Acton man was arrested Thursday morning on charges of possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute after investigators executed a search warrant at the man's Willow Street residence.

According to the Acton Police Department, the APD Drug Unit, along with other local police departments, had been investigating David Dittmer for the sale and manufacturing of crystal meth since September.

That investigation culminated with the execution of a search warrant, seizure of a quantity of Crystal meth and arrest of Dittmer on Thursday, Oct. 24. Acton Police were assisted in the search by the DEA's Clandestine lab team, DEA Enforcement Group, Massachusetts State Police and other local police departments, including Boxborough and Stow.
