Egged Home, Suspicious People and More From the Acton Police Log

The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The following was reported by the Acton Police Department on Feb. 3.:

  • A caller stated his female Cocker Spaniel was missing from his home in Chelmsford and was advising surrounding towns. The dog has a Red Sox collar and "choker" collars on. Caller was advised to call Palmer Kennels.
  • An officer found a side gate open at Rex Lumber with a black BMW parked inside. Building found to be secure. No sign of forced entry although lights were on on second floor.
  • A Jackson Drive resident reported her house was egged sometime on Feb. 1. Resident reported this was the third time her house was vandalized. She asked for extra patrols in the area.
  • A person on Blueberry Path stated his vent pipe to the septic system broke off.
  • A Thoreau Road resident walked in to the PD to report possible ID theft.
  • A manager at a Great Road business reported a red motor vehicle parked by the liquor store and someone taking pictures. Person was found to be a private investigator who followed someone into the Atlantic Sea Grill.
  • A person on Forest Road called from the highway department and stated that there was a male party walking around the yard heading toward the transfer station. Responding officer spoke with a female party who was an employee at McDonalds. Officer transported the party home.
