Grand Jury Indictment, Cat Struck by Car and More From the Acton Police Log

The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The following was reported by the Acton Police Department on Feb. 1:

  • A larceny report was taken on Quail Ridge Drive.
  • A fraud report was taken on Charter Road.
  • Officers were dispatched to Main Street for a report of a fight in the parking lot of Sorrento's. People in the lot said no fight took place.
  • Officers responded to Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a cat that was struck by a vehicle. Female party was trying to locate the owner. Person took the cat home and planned to bury the cat if the owner didn't call by Feb. 4.

In news from the Middlesex District Attorney's office:

Kathryn Copeland, 44, of Riverview, Fla., was indicted by a grand jury on Feb. 7. She is charged with larceny over $250 (two counts). The assistant district attorney is Doug Nagengast.
