Indictment in Acton's First-Ever Meth Distribution Case

David Dittmer, 38, of Acton was arrested in October and charged with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

An Acton man who last year became the first person arrested on methamphetamine distribution charges in town has been indicted.

David Dittmer, 38, was arrested in October after authorities executed a search warrant at his residence at 172 Willow Street.

Acton police said it was their first-ever arrest for meth distribution.

The Middlesex District Attorney's office on Thursday announced Dittmer had been indicted, which means a grand jury has determined a trial is warranted based on evidence in the case.

Dittmer has a history of drug arrests. In 2012, he was charged with manufacturing cocaine and meth during a drug bust in Quincy.
