Lowell Man Arrested, Accused of Probation Violation in Acton

The following arrest information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Acton Police Department was notified by the probation department about a Massachusetts man who may had been in violation of his probation on Aug. 15.

At about 6:06 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Great Road to check the area for Andrew G. Starkey, 23, of 22 Rock St., Apt. 1, in Lowell.

Starkey was eventually found at 143 Great Road and arrested on a charge of a GPS bracelet violation.

He was scheduled to be arraigned later that morning at Concord District Court.

The arresting officer was Scott Krug.

It other police news from Aug. 15:

  • An officer responded to Powdermill Road for a report of someone begging for money. A no trespass order was issued.
  • Emergency personnel were dispatched to High Street for a report of an accident with injuries. One person was transferred to Emerson Hospital with unknown injuries. Two towing companies were called to the scene.
