North Acton Fire Station Task Force Seeks Members

Three Acton residents sought to join task force.

The Town of Acton is seeking three citizens to serve on the North Acton Fire Station Task Force.

According to the Town of Acton website, the Task Force shall analyze run data and response times; locate potential sites for a station; conduct trial runs from those locations; and, recommend sites for Board of Selectmen consideration.

The Task Force may request the use of consultants or other resources with the approval of the Board of Selectmen.

The Task Force shall consist of: The Fire Chief; Deputy Fire Chief; a member of the Board of Selectmen; a member of the Finance Committee; the Municipal Properties Director; the IT Director; and three members of the general public.

The Task Force will dissolve once the task is complete.

Special skills desired include a background in statistical analysis, engineering, and architecture.

Interested applicants should fill out the volunteer application, and submit to the Town Manager’s Office, 472 Main Street, Acton, MA 01720 or manager@acton-ma.gov.
