Police Log: A Lost Canoe, a Found Wallet and More

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Aug. 29

2:14 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious person sitting on a bench in front of a business area on Great Road. The man was working an overnight shift in the area, according to the log entry.

1:56 p.m. – A Beth Circle resident called to report her neighbor was locked out of his house. Acton Fire assisted in gaining entry to the house,

2:14 p.m. – Police responded to Great Road for a report of a scam going around in which callers threatened to shut off the power unless money was sent to a specific phone number.

2:38 p.m. -- A man dropped off a black wallet with credit cards and a license, which he reportedly found in the area of Concord and Great roads.

4:55 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a stolen canoe on Audubon Drive.

5:52 p.m. – An accidental alarm activation was triggered by cleaners at Bank of America on Great Road.
