Police Log: Alleged Larcenies and a Couple of Arrests

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Nov. 25

3:09 a.m. – A manager from CVS on Mass Ave reported a man in a black SUV had been in the parking lot for more than two hours and the vehicle was not running. The vehicle’s occupant was in the store upon the officer’s arrival at the scene.

6:19 a.m. – Police responded to Meadow Brook Road for a report of a low-hanging wire.

9:35 a.m. – A School Street resident called to complain about construction in front of her house knocking things off of her walls.

2 p.m. – Police responded to a reported neighbor dispute on Wampus Avenue.

3:01 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Powdermill Road.

3:27 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Main Street. 4:44 p.m. – Police responded to Harris Street for a report of a branch touching wires there.

6:43 p.m. – A catalytic converter was reportedly cut off of a vehicle on Central Street.

7:05 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle accident on Mass Ave, Jean E. Carpenter, 52, of 54 Musket Trail, Simsbury, Conn., was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and failure to use care.

9:37 p.m. – Police responded to a disturbance call on High Street, where a resident reported her neighbor was using a leafblower and her kids couldn’t sleep. The responding officer reported the neighbor said he would be finished by 10 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 26

9:22 a.m. – Police shut down a section of School Street after checking on a water pipe struck on the road.

12:28 p.m. – Police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Mass Ave.

4:52 p.m. – A report of larceny came in from Willow Street.

6:06 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Great Road.

9:29 p.m. – A child from Nagog Hill Road called about possible online crimes. Police then spoke with the kid’s mother, who reported she’d call back.

10:07 p.m. – A Haverhill Man was arrested on multiple warrants on Hayward Road. Thomas J. Beaulieu, 42, of 417 Washington St., Haverhill, was arrested on multiple warrants, including three for violating an abuse prevention order and one for suspended license.

11:45 p.m. – Police responded to a report of people in a parking lot on Strawberry Hill Road, playing loud music and possibly drinking. The subjects were spoken to and took it back inside.
