Police Log: An Opossum in a Garage and Neighborly Harassment
The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Dec. 28
1 a.m. – Officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Main Street and Newtown Road following a stop/hold request from Maynard Police. MPD arrived on the scene and issued citations to the driver.
11:09 a.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle crash on Main Street.

1:46 p.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported on Route 2. Officers spoke with the driver, who had already notified AAA.
3:36 p.m. – Police responded to a reported larceny on Avalon Drive.

7:52 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic in progress on Parker Street. As a result, Brittany A. Clark, 25, of Apt. 511 Old Towne Road, Ayer, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
10:05 p.m. – A call came in reporting a dog had been barking for more than an hour on Summer Street. The responding officer located the dog, and spoke with its owner.
10:40 p.m. – A man came into the station to drop off a wallet he found on Main Street. Police contacted the owner, who said he’d come to pick it up the next morning.
Sunday, Dec. 29
12:51 a.m. – Police responded to a call reporting a vehicle into a snowbank on Summer Street. AAA responded to the scene.
12:54 a.m. – A call came in reporting a white Chevy Cruze operating erratically on Route 111 heading toward Boxborough. The responding officer was unable to locate the vehicle, and Boxborough PD was advised.
8:58 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a vehicle leaking gas on Main Street. The situation was contained and AAA towed the vehicle.
11:38 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Mass Ave. The responding officer found an unsecured front door, which was confirmed as accidental by the cleaners.
3:50 p.m. – A Parker Street resident called to report she was being harassed by a neighbor in her apartment complex. The responding officer advised it was a noise complaint between neighbors.
8:02 p.m. – A School Street resident reported there was a live opossum in her garage, and requested assistance in removing it.
