Police Log: Arrests for OUI and Domestics, Idling Issues and More

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Aug. 31

1:45 a.m. – Police responded to a reported alarm activation on Great Road.

5:03 a.m. – Police responded to Mass Ave for a report of people on the roof.

11:43 a.m. – Police responded to Mass Ave for a report of the larceny of a wallet.

2:14 p.m. – An accidental 911 call came in from Old Village Road from a resident attempting to dial 411.

2:51 p.m. – Police responded to alleged parking violations around a skate park on Hayward Road.

9:07 p.m. – A past breaking-and-entering was reported on Spruce Street.

Sunday, Sept. 1

2:26 a.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic on Harris Street. As a result,  Heather Lynne Publicover, 23, of 33 Harris St., Apt. 15, Acton, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

4:52 a.m. – Police responded to Central Street to assist with a child custody issue.

2:13 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a tree hanging on a powerline on Mead Terrace.

4:14 p.m. – A call came in regarding an ice cream vendor at the high school’s lower ball field on Charter road. The vendor was advised to leave due to his lack of permit, according to the log note.

5:16 p.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Arlington Street. It was confirmed as accidental by a construction worker.

7:07 p.m. – A husband-wife domestic was reported on Arlington Street. As a result of the police response, Brian Johnson, 49, of 10805 East 27th St., Tulsa, Okla., was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Monday, Sept. 2

1:09 a.m. – An abandoned 911 call came in from Piper Road. After a callback and check of the area, it appeared to have been a phone problem.

1:51 a.m. – Police responded to a reported disturbance on Main Street in which motorist were allegedly arguing. The vehicles were gone on arrival.

3:05 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a vehicle idling on Spruce Street. The motorist was reportedly dropping off a friend at her home and then left on his way.

1:48 p.m. – Police responded to a possible domestic situation on Avalon Drive. As a result, Jhamel Williams, 31, of 5234 Avalon Drive, Acton, was arrested and charged with violation of an abuse prevention order.

8:13 p.m. – Police responded to a report of harassment on Drummer Road. Police spoke with all parties involved and there were no issues.
