Police Log: Drug Use, Destruction of Property and a Gas Leak

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department.

The following are police log entries for February 14 through February 18 were provided by the Acton Police Department.

Friday, Feb. 14

  • At 8:15 a.m., police took a report of larceny on Russell Road.
  • At 8:40 a.m., emergency crews responded to Main Street for a three-car motor vehicle crash with personal injury. The vehicles were towed from the scene, and the patients refused medical treatment. The Highway Department was notified as the stop sign prior to the crash site was knocked down.
  • At 3:44 p.m. officers were dispatched to Faulkner Hill Road for a malicious destruction of property report.
  • At 7:36 p.m. police were asked to do a well-being check on Great Road for a report of an odor coming from the apartment. Crews responded to help police gain entry. Shortly after, entry was gained and the Fire Department cleared the scene, stating that it was a police matter.
  • At 10:00 p.m., a resident on Hosmer Street called police to address a neighbor regarding an altercation. The neighbor left the area two minutes after the call was placed, and police called him back to speak with them.
Saturday, Feb. 15
  • At 3:02 a.m. police responded with National Grid on Duggan Road and asked the Acton Fire Department to also respond for assistance with a previous gas leak.
  • At 4:17 p.m.a caller on Willow Street reported an accident near the Stow town line. Officers were advised that it appears a vehicle struck a guard rail, but was gone on arrival.
Sunday, Feb. 16
  • At 1:09 a.m., police responded to Nylander Way for a report of a blue minivan impeding snow removal. The party agreed to move the vehicle.
  • At 12:00 p.m. a resident came to the station to report a domestic incident. The person was transported to a nearby hospital.
  • At 4:04 p.m. an officer responded to Central Street for a report of a train safe guard being down for 15 minutes. The gate was up when the officer arrived.
  • At 10:40 p.m. police responded to Main Street to take a report over possible drug use.
Monday, Feb. 17
  • At 5:32 p.m. officers arrived to School Street to check out the road conditions by the soccer field. Officers advised that the road is passable with no real issues at this time.
Tuesday, Feb. 18
  • At 12:14 a.m., police arrived on Great Road for a medical emergency. The patient was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
