Police Log: Exes Argue, a Mail Truck Stuck, Alleged Larceny and an Arrest

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Dec. 26

10:28 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a larceny in progress on Great Road.

10:38 a.m. – A report of threats came in from Hosmer Street.

12:12 p.m. – Police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident on Massachusetts Avenue.

12:14 p.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Strawberry Hill Road. A resident there confirmed no problems.

2:09 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Concord Road.

3:58 p.m. – Officers served a warrant on Pope Road. Robert Toomanians, 46, of 37 Pope Road, Acton, was arrested on a warrant out of Somerville for motor vehicle violations.

4:22 p.m. – A call came in reporting kids, or possibly an animal, out on the ice on Breezy Point Road. The responding officer reported that whatever was on the ice wasn’t out there anymore.

5:28 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a mail truck stuck on the side of the road on Willow Street.

7:15 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a town snowplow and a parked vehicle on Minuteman Road.

7:55 p.m. – A call came in reporting a group of people yelling and swearing on Beverly Road. It was a verbal argument between the homeowner’s daughter and her ex-boyfriend.

9:09 p.m. – A vehicle reportedly rolled into the street out of a roadway on Prospect Street.
