Police Log: Fighting Over Cigarettes, Complaints About Computer Use

Saturday, Jan. 18
12:05 a.m. – A Hosmer Street resident reported a problem with a person using a computer loudly.
1:22 a.m. – Police responded to Strawberry Hill Road after a resident reported believing there was someone outside of her bedroom window.

11:41 a.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Split Rock Drive. Information was forwarded to the drug unit.
12:02 p.m. – A motor vehicle accident was reported on Great Road.

1:10 p.m. – A motor vehicle reportedly struck and split a pole on Powdermill Road., and then left the scene.
3:23 p.m. – A caller reported a plow that exited Route 2 east onto Route 27 and spilled snow into the middle of the roadway, making it impossible to pass.
3:32 p.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported on Martin Street. The owner stated AAA was en route.
3:51 p.m. – A Central Street resident reported his neighbor’s car lost control when trying to pull into his own driveway, and instead hit mailbox and his car due to the wintry road conditions.
4:25 p.m. – Police responded to a commercial burglar alarm on Independence Road.
6:52 p.m. – Police responded to a commercial burglar alarm on Powdermill Road. The responding officer confirmed it was accidental by the cleaning company.
10:51 p.m. – A Hosmer Street resident reported a disturbance involving the neighbors’ having a party. The responding officer reported the neighbors were told to shut it down.
Sunday, Jan. 19
2:24 a.m. – A Great Road resident called to complain about constant noise from the unit upstairs.
12:30 p.m. – Police responded to Main Street for a reported hit-and-run accident that appeared to have happened elsewhere.
2:40 p.m. – A black, leather Kenneth Cole wallet containing credit cards, $18 cash and a license was found on Main Street and turned in to the station.
6:24 p.m. – A Hosmer Street resident called to complain about an unwanted person at the house. The responding officer reported the person in question was no longer living there.
9:03 p.m. – A West Road resident reported a missing person. The responding officer reported the child returned home before he arrived on the scene.
10:58 p.m. – A Hosmer Street resident reported he was being harassed and threatened by a neighbor. The responding officer reported the neighbors were arguing over cigarettes.
