Police Log: Kids Locked in a Car, Woman Busted for Bomb Threat
The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Jan. 10
5:17 a.m. – Police responded to a commercial burglar alarm on Laws Brook Road, which activated from two locations – an interior warehouse door and office motion detector. The responding officer confirmed the alarm was accidental by an employee.
10:52 a.m. – A motor vehicle accident was reported on Charter Road.

11:07 a.m. – Police responded to a report of an illegally parked vehicle on Great Road. The officer tagged the vehicle for being illegally parked in the lot.
12:37 p.m. – Police responded to a report of two kids locked in a vehicle on Olde Surrey Drive. A fire company reported gaining entry to the vehicle without damaging it.

1:58 p.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Knox Trail. Responders were unable to find the cause of the alarm.
5:32 p.m. – Officers assisted Concord Police with mutual aid for a warrant arrest on Maple Street. Rebecca L. Curtin, 48, of 68 Maple St., Apt. 18, Acton, was arrested and charged with false bomb threat and threatening to commit a crime.
7:43 p.m. – An abandoned 911 call was reported by Middlesex Wireless call center. Police spoke with a female from Parker Street on the call back, who reported there was no emergency. The responding officer confirmed the call was accidental.
10:23 p.m. – A call came in reporting two cars stopped on Main Street were partially obstructing traffic. The responding officer reported it was a disabled motor vehicle, which was moved off the road and awaiting AAA.
