Police Log: Kids on a Ladder, Underage Drinking and Arguing Neighbors
The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Oct. 5
12:22 a.m. – A call came in from Parker Street, from a woman complaining about the MBTA construction detail there. She was advised to contact the MBTA.
3:08 a.m. – A Newtown Road resident reported a suspicious motor vehicle in the driveway.

12:35 p.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Main Street.
1:10 p.m. – A caller reported a child playing near the street on Newtown Road, expressing concern the child could be struck by a motor vehicle. The responding officer spoke with the child’s mother, who said the boy would stay further from the street.

3:50 p.m. – A woman came into the station to drop off a set of keys she found at Oktoberfest in West Acton.
4:48 p.m. – A resident came into the station to drop off a black Garmin GPS unit found near a trash can on Mass Ave.
4:45 p.m. – Police responded to Central Street, where a resident reported finding burglar tools in her yard.
4:43 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a woman screaming behind Duggan Road.
5:04 p.m. – A band playing around Strawberry Hill Road was reportedly causing a disturbance. The responding officer reported the music was from a wedding reception in Concord.
6:55 p.m. – Police responded to a report of two youths on a ladder, possibly going onto the roof of the Douglas School on Elm Street.
8:57 p.m. – A noise complaint came in from Central Street. Officers spoke to people there, and the band was to stop at 10 p.m.
9:36 p.m. – Police responded to a report of cars speeding up and down Jackson Drive.
10:35 p.m. – A call came in reporting underage drinking on Hayward Road.
Sunday, Oct. 6
12:42 a.m. – Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Duston Lane. Officers checked the area, but nothing was found.
6:39 a.m. – An anonymous woman called to report her neighbors were arguing in a parking lot on Great Road.
3:16 p.m. – Police responded to a report of larceny on Great Road.
7:52 p.m. – Police responded to Great Road to speak with a man about a motor vehicle vs. deer accident.
9:43 p.m. – A 911 hangup came in from Discovery Way.
