Police Log: Larceny, Vandalism and Suspicious Activity

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Nov. 4

5:45 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Route 2. State Police and Acton Fire were notified, and a patient refused medical attention, according to the log entry.

6:06 a.m. – A Strawberry Hill Road resident reported an ongoing noise issue with a neighbor. The caller did not wish to speak with an officer, but rather only wanted the complaint on record, according to the log entry.

7:05 a.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Preston Way, in which a maroon sedan was reportedly driving around the neighborhood. Police located the vehicle and the driver, who was working in the area.

8:58 a.m. – A complaint of larceny came in from Central Street.

4:02 p.m. – A car carrier was reported to be blocking a roadway on Great Road.

4:48 p.m. – Police responded to a reported disabled motor vehicle on Route 2.

6 p.m. – A larceny was reported from Perkins Lane.

9:59 p.m. – Officers stopped a vehicle on Great Road; its occupants were collecting scrap metal in the area.

10:37 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Drummer Road.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

12:42 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a downed deer in the roadway on Great Road. The animal was dragged off of the roadway, and Mass Highway was notified.

3:45 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation at a Powdermill Road business. A driver had a problem with the alarm, and the building checked secure, according to the log entry.

8:17 a.m. – Police responded to Central Street for a reported disturbance involving an argument between MBTA workers.

10:20 a.m. – A fraud was reported on Nagog Hill Road.

11:59 a.m. – A bicycle left at the Subway on Main Street was brought into the station.

5:02 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

5:51 p.m. – A missing person was reported on Strawberry Hill Road.

6:13 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a vehicle all over the roadway on School Street. The responding officers reported finding nothing in the area.

7:57 p.m. – An injured deer was reported on the side of the road on Main Street following a motor vehicle accident in the area. The responding officer reported the animal was gone on arrival.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

6:51 a.m. – Police responded to a basement alarm activation on Mass Ave. The building checked secure.

3:14 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident without injuries on Piper Road.

5:17 p.m. – Police responded to a report of vandalism to an Old High Street business.

5:23 p.m. – A suspicious person was reportedly going door-to-door around the Pope Road neighborhood. The solicitor was spoken to, according to the log note.

6:02 p.m. – A caller reported people inside a High Street home that should have been empty as it’s up for sale. The responding officer reported the people were realtors who showed up unexpectedly.

6:23 p.m. – A third-party complaint came in reporting an adult man harassing an older victim on Mass Ave.

9:21 p.m. – Police responded to Palmer Lane for a complaint about a suspicious phone message received earlier in the building.

9:29 p.m. – A Main Street resident reported a suspicious vehicle sitting across the street from her house.
