Police Log: Loud Music, Alleged Larceny and a Christmas Eve Arrest

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 23

1:23 a.m. – Police responded to a report of loud music on Lincoln Drive and spoke with a resident there.

12:01 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

1:05 p.m. – Police responded to a civil complaint on Robinwood Road.

5:20 p.m. – A burglar alarm activated at a Great Road business. An officer responded to the scene to walk through the property with a manager. The business checked secure.

6:15 p.m. – Police responded to a report of larceny on Main Street.

7:15 p.m. – An elderly driver reportedly drove up onto the sidewalk in front of a store on Great Road and hit a railing. The store manager told police the driver looked unsteady.

8:48 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a disabled motor vehicle on Taylor Road. The vehicle reportedly ran out of gas, and the driver was waiting for assistance from a friend.

Tuesday, Dec. 24

12:29 p.m. – A man came into the station to turn in a black wallet he found on the ground at Kelly’s Corner.

2:05 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a family issue on Huckleberry Lane.

2:44 p.m. – Officers assisted Lexington Police by checking a Canterbury Hill Road residence to see if a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run was at that address.

7:19 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic on High Street. As a result, William J. Sheehan, 63, of 148 High St., Acton, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
