Police Log: Loud Noises, Residential Vandalism

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

12:11 a.m. – Police responded to a report of loud noises on Mass Ave, coming from night construction at the Dunkin’ Donuts, which had been approved by the town.

12:39 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the driveway of a house on Jackson Drive. The house is in foreclosure, and the vehicle belonged to people from the back checking on the house, according to the log entry.

1:37 p.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Main Street, which was set off by a library patron.

4:40 p.m. – A Five and Drum Road resident reported vandalism done to his yard.

6:01 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a possible gun being fired on Jay Lane. A resident there was having a roof replace, which may have accounted for the noise, according to an incident report.

8:48 p.m. – An erratic motor vehicle was stopped on Minot Avenue. The responding officer reported there was no impairment, just a driver unfamiliar with the local roads.
