Police Log: Suspicious Men, Sour Neighbors and a Reported Hit-and-Run

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Sept. 27

3:14 a.m. – Police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident on Mass Ave in which State Police reportedly had a motorist under arrest and were checking to see if the vehicle had struck something in Acton.

8:36 a.m. – Police responded to a report of harassment on Massachusetts Avenue.

8:54 a.m. – A large trash bag was reported in the roadway o Great Road.

9:59 a.m. – An accidental 911 call came in from Great Road.

12:05 p.m. – Police responded to a report of two “Cambodian” men taking a picture of property on Main Street, and the caller was concerned the men may return to steal the item. That said, the employee who made the report allegedly did not want to speak with the officer at the time, according to the log entry.

12:40 p.m. – A Littleton woman reported receiving threatening phone calls from her ex-husband, who lives in Acton. The matter was referred to the Littleton Police.

5:02 p.m. – An abandoned 911 call came in from Canterbury Hill Road, which sounded like a child playing wit ha phone. A resident there reported it was accidental by the kid.  

7:28 p.m. – Police responded to Great Road for a report of arguing between neighbors. The responding officer reported there were no issues – it was a wife venting about children, according to the log entry.

8:28 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated woman on Willow Street.

9:54 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Hosmer Street, where a resident reported hearing either fireworks or gunshots. All was quiet at the time.
