Police Log: The Ducks Are Alright

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Nov. 15

2:01 a.m.  – Police responded to a reported house alarm sounding on Washington Drive. Officers checked with the homeowner and there were no problems, according to the log entry.

7:37 a.m. – An abandoned 911 call from Meyer Hill Drive was referred by Littleton Police. It was confirmed as accidental.

9:12 a.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle violation on Martin Street. One parking citation was issued to a vehicle parked near the playground area.

9:53 a.m. – A 911 call came in from Great Road. It was confirmed as accidental.

11:48 a.m. – Police responded to Mass Ave for a report of a possible scam attempted against an older customer.

2:28 p.m. – A report of a broken down mail truck came in from Parker Street. A tow responded to the scene.

3:05 p.m. – Police responded to Westford for assistance with an alleged drug violation.

3:27 p.m. – An animal complaint came in from School Street. The caller was advised to contact the dog officer.

4:50 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic on Great Road.

5:04 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a possibly vandalized vehicle on Main Street.

7:43 p.m. – Police responded to a report of kids harassing ducks on Mass Ave. The responding officer reported the ducks appeared to be OK and the kids were gone on arrival.

9:21 p.m. – A harassment complaint, alleging road rage, came in from Main Street. The responding officer stopped the vehicle in question; all parties involved were spoken to and there were no issues.

10:49 p.m. – Police responded to a report of gunshots behind a hotel on Hosmer Street. The woman who called in the report may have been intoxicated, according to the log entry, and the responding officers indicated all was quiet on arrival.
