Possible Hit-and-Run, Attacking Dog and More From the Acton Police Log

The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Acton Police Department received a call on Dec. 26 from a woman who claimed she witnessed and accident where the operator of a car left the scene in Westford.

The caller said the fleeing operator was swerving all over the road and saw the car turn into Wampus Avenue in Acton.

Westford police were notified in case they had received a report of a hit-and-run accident.

Responding Acton officers checked the Wampus Avenue area and found the car between buildings 12 and 14. No one was in the area and no damage was seen on the car.

  • A person reported seeing a dog attacking another on School Street.
  • A suspicious wood sign was left on Charter Road. Responding officers reported the sign did not appear to be stolen and that it was in the area youths are known to smoke at.
