Resident Throws Snow at Passing Car, Suspicious Letter Investigated

The following are police log entries for February 18 through February 21 were provided by the Acton Police Department.

Tuesday, Feb. 18

• At 12:14 a.m. an ambulance was called to Great Road for a medical emergency. A similar call was also received on Great Road at 4:02 a.m. Both victims were transported to Emerson Hospital.
• At 11:59 a.m. a car drove into a snow bank on High Street. There were no injuries and no transport was needed.
• At 12:33 p.m. on Route 2 due to deteriorating road conditions, a car crashed and rolled onto its roof. Massachusetts State Police were on scene and a transport was made.
• At 1:44 p.m. police checked on a mail truck parked on the side of Arlington Street. There was no one around the truck and the Post Office had the vehicle towed.
• At 3:19 p.m. officers responded to Willis Holden Drive for a domestic incident.
• At 6:38 p.m. a vehicle was reported in the middle of Central Street with no one around. Police checked the scene and found no vehicle.
• At 8:05 p.m. an unresponsive elderly woman was found on Devon Drive.

• At 9:48 a.m. officers responded to Massachusetts Ave. for a report of a past hit and run.
• At 10:16 a.m. police were dispatched to Meyer Hill Drive for a hit and run crash.
• At 3:52 p.m. a resident on Windemere Drive said that a neighbor is away and there is a car in the driveway. The property owner confirmed to police that the car should not be there.
• At 4:31 p.m. Acton police assisted firefighters who were called to Central Street in Boxborough for a fire alarm. The alarm was set off by burnt food in an office.
• At 7:54 p.m. residents reported that the railroad gates on Parker Street were stuck down for about eight minutes and motorists were beginning to drive around them.
• At 11:58 p.m. officers were called to Douglad Ave. in Maynard to assist with three suspects that town had in custody. An officer transported on of the suspects back to the Maynard Police Department.

• At 9:16 a.m. a possible domestic in progress was reported on Town House Lane. Police cleared the scene as it was determined to be a misunderstanding.
• At 10:01 a.m. an anonymous caller reported that he drove by a home on Carlisle Road and the resident who was out shoveling threw snow at his car.
• At 11:14 p.m. police were called to a neighbor dispute on Huckleberry Lane.

• At 5:11 p.m. officers were dispatched to Parker Street to speak with a resident regarding a suspicious letter. The suspect was not at home initially, but the responding officer reported that the suspected flagged him down. The party was spoken to by the officer.
• At 8:12 p.m. a suspicious party was located on Avalon Drive. One person was transported to Emerson Hospital.
