Town Hosts Flag Retirement Ceremony

Dispose of your flag properly.

Join other Acton residents in a gathering to properly dispose of damage and worn out American flags at a Flag Retirement Ceremony at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, which is Flag Day.

The ceremony takes place at Woodlawn Cemetery. Acton Boy Scout Paul Nelson's Eagle Scout Project provided a structure for retiring flags.

If you have any flags you wish to dispose of properly, but will not be able to attend the ceremony, please contact James MacRae, Acton Veterans’ Service Officer, at 978-929-6614 or vso@acton-ma.gov.
