VIDEO: AB PIP's DiscoverSTEM 2011
A fun and interactive Science Fair took place Thursday night at the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School cafeteria, encouraging students, parents and educators to explore various technological advances that impact our daily lives.
- What is DiscoverSTEM 2011?
Thursday night, Acton-Boxborough students in grades 7-12 and parents and educators alike, were encouraged to meet engineers, technology experts, scientists and educators for a career exploration seminar.
Students, parents and educators were welcome to explore 30 interactive science and technology exhibits that demonstrate how we use STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) in our everyday lives.
According to the Acton PIP website: "DiscoverSTEM2011 is a reverse science fair. Exhibits include the Tesla Electric Sportscar, Bionic legs from iWalk, Astronomy from the Harvard Center for Astrophyics, Personalized Genetic Medicine from Harvard Medical School and much more. Discover STEM exhibitors include engineers, scientists, technology professionals and AB students who specialize in engineering, science, physics, medicine and green technology."
