Acton's Daniel Button Runs Boston Marathon in 2:39

About 36,000 runners ran the 118th marathon Monday.

Acton resident Daniel Button finished Monday's Boston Marathon with a time of 2 hours, 39 minutes, and 8 seconds.

The time was good for 305th place overall. The 27-year-old was the fastest Acton runner.

There were 32 Acton residents registered to run the race. Search for results by town or name on the Boston Marathon website.

American Meb Keflezighi finished first overall with a time of 2 hours, 8 minutes, and 37 seconds. He was the first American to win the race since 1983.

About 36,000 runners registered for the marathon, which featured a larger-than-usual crowd of about a million spectators after last year's deadly bombings.
