Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce Hosting Appreciation Night at NARA Park

Looking for something to do to help out a local cause?

Then take part in the fourth annual Summer Bash that is a Sponsor Appreciation Night for businesses that sponsor Acton's Oktoberfest Road Race.

The appreciation night is scheduled for July 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at NARA Park.

"The Summer Bash will have beer and wine tastings sponsored by Colonial Spirits, live music sponsored by Acton Jazz Café and many food samplings provided by the various sponsoring businesses," said Karen Donoghue, marketing and events coordinator for Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce. "There will also be many tabletop displays by sponsoring businesses. It is a wonderful venue at NARA for outdoor networking, good food, and fun."  

The event helps raise money for a scholarship fund that goes to high school seniors from the numerous towns represented by the Chamber.

"We cohost the event with Acton Park and Recreation," Donaghue said. "It's a great outdoor festival for networking."

Tickets for the appreciation night cost $20 at door and $15 if you preregister. 

The road race, a 5K, is scheduled for Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. at the Gates School and ends on Windsor Street. There is also a kids fun run at 9 a.m. for 2- to 8-year-olds.
