Team Takacs Closing in on PurpleStride Fundraising Goal
Alison, Rosemary and Grace Takacs and their team are poised to meet or beat their $20,000 target.
Last month, Acton Patch featured a piece about local mom .
At the time, their team had collected $2,629. They were far from reaching their fundraising goal: $20,000 to fight pancreatic cancer. Now, just five days before the PurpleStride Boston event, the tally is $19,141!
“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” said Alison in an online message to the folks who made it happen. “I hope you all know how important your support is to us, the entire Boston affiliate, and to thousands of unknown names and faces.”
