VIDEO: Acton 9/11 Memorial One Step Closer to Completion

Here is a video of the Ground Zero steel being sprayed with a rust-preserving coating.

Jay Dolan, owner of International Collision Center in Acton, is one of the many volunteers helping with the completion of the new September 11 memorial due to be unveiled on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Dolan was tasked with the duty to coat the with a rust preserving stain that will make sure the original rust from the steel stays intact so that overtime the steel does not drip onto the granite of the memorial.

As the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks nears, the new Acton 9/11 memorial (headed by the Acton 9/11 Memorial Fund Committee) seems to be well on its way to completion. The new memorial will permanently be displayed outside the Acton Public Safety Building on September 11, 2011.
