Monday Essentials: Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Thanksgivukkah in Acton
Here's a quick look at what you need to know for the week ahead in Acton.

1. Thanksgiving's This Thursday: Which means town offices are closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. The libraries and schools will be closed, as well.
2. Public Meetings Preview: According to the town website, here's the week's lineup of public meetings:
- Monday, Nov. 25: Volunteer Coordinating Committee at 7 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 26: Acton Housing Authority Board of Commissioners at 4 p.m. and the Historic District Commission at 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 27:
4. Thanksgivukkah ... It's a Thing, Apparently: Thanksgiving and the first full day of Hanukkah both fall on Nov. 28 this year.
5. Grand Community Hannukah Festival and Silent Auction: At 3:30 p.m. this coming Sunday, Dec. 1, the Acton Concord Chabad Center will host the 9th annual Grand Community Hannukah Festival and Silent Auction at the Concord Scout House, located at 74 Walden St., Concord. Get the details here.
