A few events to keep in mind as you fill in your weekend planner.

The weekend has arrived, but you’ve got no idea what you’re going to do? Patch is coming to the rescue with your best bets for the done-work-outta-here time.

Check out our picks for activities you won’t want to miss this weekend:

1. Free Fun Friday!
Where/When: Discovery Museums, 177 Main St., Acton; 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30
Why Go: Because why not re-"Discover" these local museums filled with interactive exhibits on the Highland Street Foundation's dime?
Pricing: Free! But they'll definitely accept donations for the Acton Food Pantry and Open Table in Concord and Maynardf.

2. Early Spring: Henry Thoreau and Climate Change
Where/When: Concord Museum, Cambridge Turnpike and Lexington Road, Concord; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30 and Sat. Aug. 31, and 12 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1
Why Go: The special exhibition at the Concord Museum is open only through Sept. 15. Incorporating the museum's renowned Thoreau Collection, "Early Spring," according to the website, "explores three centuries of careful observation of seasonal natural phenomena in Concord, a pool of data on the relationship between climate and biology that is essentially without parallel in North America."
Pricing: Depends on the group

3. Acton-Boxborough Farmers Market
Where/When: Pearl Street, West Acton; 10 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 1
Why Go: Because this producer-only market offers fresh and local produce and products, including veggies, fruits, cheeses, wines, spreads and breads.
Pricing: Free 'til you buy
