Due to the recent popularity of old-school glamour brought on by the phenomenon that is Downton Abbey, this local stylist has been inspired to bust out her old-school training from her days at the Cosmetology department at Minuteman Tech. I knew someday my finger wave training would come in handy. Don't they say everything comes back around in fashion?
Even last week, at the Oscars, old Hollywood galm was represented in a fresh new way on such heads as Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Chastain and Stacy Keibler.
In this video I show you how to easily achieve that classic finger wave look. This style was made popular in the 1920s and versions of it were carried through to later years. This technique can be used to execute styles inspired by the poor left-at the-alter Lady Edith of Downton Abbey. Or wear it as a softer style for that Hollywood siren look.
