Acton Teen Charged in Boxborough Car Accident

On Wednesday, August 1, a 17-year-old girl operator from Acton and a 16-year-old boy passenger from Boxborough were flown to UMASS Worcester after their car hit a tree on Burroughs Road in Boxborough around 6:30 p.m. The driver, Krista A. Jansen, now 18, of 5 Milldam Road, Acton has been charged with negligent operation of a vehicle, failure to keep right and speeding. According to Boxborough Sgt. Brett Pelley, a member of the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (CEMLEC) Collision Reconstruction Team, "Jansen's vehicle was 81.2 miles per hour when she lost control and struck a tree." A complaint was filed with the Ayer District Court. The conditions of Jansen and the other passenger is unknown.

Search Warrants Prompt Investigation in Recent Boxborough Teen Car Accident

On Wednesday, August 1, a 17-year-old girl operator from Acton and a 16-year-old boy passenger from Boxborough were flown to UMASS Worcester after their car hit a tree on Burroughs Road in Boxborough around 6:30 p.m. According to Boxborough Police Chief, Warren Ryder, the police obtained a search warrant to go inside the vehicle and conduct a proper investigation. There are no results from the investigation available as of yet. A search warrant was also obtained for the drivers blood and medical records. The police will request an order from the court to read the records and then send the blood off to a lab to be analyzed. Ryder said the results will be back within a couple of weeks. UPDATE (Aug. 3): Two Teens in Critical Condition After Car Accident

UPDATE: Friday, August 3, 10:50 a.m. According to Boxborough Police Chief, Warren Ryder, the investigation is still underway. The 16-year-old boy from Boxborough, who was a passenger in the car, was taken off "critical condition" and moved to "serious condition." The 17-year-old girl from Acton, who was the driver is still in "critical condition." "We're not going to release the names of the victims for patient confidentiality and age restrictions," said Chief Ryder. "Their names will be released if and when criminal charges are filed and/or if the victims did not survive the injuries." Boxborough Police Seize Large Quantity of Cocaine

NOTE: The information below was retrieved from the Boxborough Police Department: BOXBOROUGH, MA – On Saturday, July 28, Detective Nathan Bowolick was on patrol on Massachusetts Ave. when he saw a car being driven by Andrew S. MOLANDER, 24, of 4213 High St. #3 in Palmer, MA. Bowolick knew that MOLANDER’S driver’s license was suspended. He stopped the car and placed MOLANDER under arrest. During a subsequent inventory of the car’s contents, Bowolick discovered several different types of illegal drugs, including a large quantity of what he suspected to be cocaine. He also found property that he believed had been stolen, including a Massachusetts National Guard ring. MOLANDER was charged with operating after suspension, trafficking in cocaine…

Man Arrested in Acton for Alleged Car Break-Ins in Boxborough

On Wednesday, July 18, Boxborough police were tipped about a man who was believed to be staying in an apartment on Liberty Square Road, Boxborough, who had three warrants out for his arrest. Cameron D. Flores-Hurlbert, 31, address unknown, was wanted for several recent car break-ins in Boxborough. The resident who occupied the apartment let officers in to search the place but they did not find Flores-Hurlbert – they did find items reported stolen from several cars, such as computers, electronics and jewelry. Boxborough detectives obtained a search warrant and seized all the items along with drugs and drug paraphernalia. He didn't accept treatment for his addiction .. he's in jail right now for being picked up on those warrants and awaiting a court date for this new charge (which many things are falsely stated in this article). He is only 21 years old and could be facing up to 3 years..I really think the system needs to come up with some other way to help young people with the drug addictions rather than jail. He…   more ›

Five Pounds of Marijuana Confiscated by Boxborough Police

Jason C. Stevenson, 28, of 614 Proctor Road, Manchester, N.H. was pulled over by Boxborough police detective Nathan Bowolick at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, April 16 for allegedly operating a vehicle with a suspended license. The vehicle was towed and five pounds of marijuana in plastic bags were discovered. A box of .40 caliber ammunition was also discovered. Stevenson was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license, possession of a class D substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a class D substance over one ounce and illegal possession of ammunition. Wanted by ICE, Deported Fugitive Gets Pulled Over in Boxborough

Eduardo Alementa Torres was pulled over in Boxborough Saturday morning and it was discovered that he is wanted by homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Saturday, Sept. 24, 48 year-old Eduardo Alementa Torres, from Marlborough, MA, was arrested in Boxborough and charged with: Operating Under the Influence of Liquor, 6th offense; operating with a suspended registration; operating an unregistered vehicle; possessing an open container of liquor in a vehicle; operating with a suspended driver’s license; giving a false name to a police officer and operating without an inspection sticker. Torres was stopped by Boxborough Police Patrolman, Nathan Bowolick, when he noticed Torres had an expired inspection sticker.
