Acton's Hannah Foley Receives Collegiate Honor for Academics
The sophomore Tufts University basketball player named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District Team.
Hannah Foley is having a spectacular sophomore campaign for the Tufts University women's basketball team. The Acton native is the leading scorer (12.1 points per game) for the Jumbos, who are undefeated (21-0/7-0 NESCAC) and ranked No. 5 in the D3hoops.com national poll as of Jan. 28. She was NESCAC Player of the Week on Jan. 7, 2013 and is currently ninth in the NESCAC scoring race. A 5-foot-10 guard, she is fifth in the conference averaging 2.0 3-pointers per game, and her 1.5 steals per game are 12th in the league. And now, she can claim another honor.
