Acton Town Elections: The Results are In

Town Elections results are in for Tuesday, March 29.

Acton Board of Selectmen: David Clough received a total of 1812 votes. John Sonner received a total of 1734 votes. Terra Friedrichs received a total of 1013 votes. The two open seats on the Acton Board of Selectmen go to the two new seeds, David Clough and John Sonner.   The Acton School Committee (Three Year Term): Kim McOsker received 1564 votes. Paul Murphy received 1161 votes. Dennis Bruce received 1159 votes. It was a close race between Murphy and Bruce, but Murphy pulled through with the extra two votes. Kim McOsker and Paul Murphy have filled the two open seats on the Acton School Committee.   Town Moderator: Donald Mackenzie received 2073 votes and will be the town Moderator.   School Committee (One Year Term): John S. Acton Candidates Forum: Four Seats, Six Candidates

With two seats open on both Acton Board of Selectmen and Acton School Committee, six candidates ask for your votes.

With the March 29 elections near, the League of Women Voters -- Acton Area held their annual candidates forum last Thursday in the Faulkner Room of Town Hall. The two main races focus on the two open seats for the Acton Board of Selectmen and the two open seats for the Acton School Committee. Each candidate was given two minutes for a brief introduction and was also given questions in advance from the League of Women Voters.  Acton Board of Selectmen: Running for the Board of Selectmen – incumbent Terra Friedrichs, John Sonner and David Clough. Friedrichs has served on the Acton Board of Selectmen for three years and grew up in Acton - Sonner has been an Acton resident since 1994 and Clough has been a resident of Acton for 16 years.
