Reports: Pedestrian Struck at Stop & Shop Plaza

A person was reportedly trapped under a vehicle for a time.

Scanner reports indicate that a pedestrian was struck and then trapped under a vehicle this afternoon in the Stop & Shop parking lot at 100 Powdermill Road. According to reports, the pedestrian was extricated from under the vehicle and was being prepared for transport at about 3:50 p.m. No further information is available at this time, but Patch will update the story as more information becomes available.

Yes, really. I agree that too many people are chatting when they should be driving. I would never chat on my cellphone in a parking lot! But lots of drivers AND pedestrians do. Of course they have the right to not be run over, and of course it's the driver's fault if there's an accident. The Happy Chocolatier is the place to go for your chocolate cravings! The selection is wonderful, the staff very friendly. We love the Fudge cubzes but the selection of the Easter treats make it a challenge to decide what to get. A great addition to the town.   more ›
