Weekend Happenings: Pink Floyd (sort of), Fruitlands and Beer

From beer to Pink Floyd to free museum experiences, we have some ideas for your weekend that won't take you too far from home.

All-American Craft Beer and Food Experience When/Where: Friday at 6 p.m. at Longfellow's Wayside Inn, 72 Wayside Inn Road, Sudbury. Why Go: All you can eat food (including appetizers and dessert) ... oh, and the $3 beer options from Samuel Adams and the Boston Beer Company. Weekend Happenings: Spooky Shopping, Sheep Shearing, and Dancing

The Annette Philip Quintet is known for blending jazz, funk, Latin, Indian, and Middle Eastern influences into its unique music. Threshing and Pressing: A Demonstration of 19th Century Farming Tools and Techniques When/Where: Sunday from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Jonathan Hosmer House, 300 Main St, Acton. Why Go: It's going to be a beautiful weekend, so getting outside and learning something new at the same time is a good option. Farmer Bryon Clemence of Burroughs Farm will demonstrate apple pressing and will thresh wheat from his own farm using a thresher from the 1850s. Pricing: Free. National Costume Swap Day Festivities When/Where: Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with the swap happening at 12:30 p.m. sharp.
