Sometimes you just want to try something new... and it's great when it can be delivered.
COOL FACTOR: You know those nights when you don't really want to eat at a restaurant, but you certainly don't want to cook? Theo's Pizzeria and Grille is perfect if delivery is what you crave. Delivery is free to Weston and Wayland and Theo's, in Weston center, is an easy place to swing by on your way home to points further west. THINK OUTSIDE THE PIZZA BOX: Wanting delivery or a quick take-out meal doesn't always mean you want pizza, right? Good things Theo's stretches well outside the pizza box. Think hot subs — meatball Parmesan, anyone? — or cold subs — the Greek sub is like a Greek salad on bread; or perhaps give the pasta dishes, eggplant parm, for instance, a try. MUST TRY: Sure the non-pizza items are worthy of your taste buds, …

Whether you're in the mood for sushi or traditional Chinese fare, this place in Natick is for you.
COOL FACTOR: It is a rare restaurant that can provide both excellent sit-down service and quality take-out. Shanghai & Tokyo succeeds on this front, so whether it's a long-day-at-work-need-take-out kind of day or a take-a-date-for-a-quiet-casual-dinner kind of day, this is for you. DIFFERENT TASTES FOR DIFFERENT PALATES: Has your family had the "I want sushi"; "I want General Gau's chicken" debate? Keep Shanghai & Tokyo in mind. The restaurant's name says it all -- this is the best of the Americanized cuisine of both Japan and China (with some other regional fare thrown in for good measure). From fresh, quality spicy tuna rolls to orange chicken to pad thai, everyone will find something to enjoy. Oh, and the fried rice ... don't feel bad …

We're staying in Concord this week, and taking a look at a casual, eclectic spot to grab a bite at any time of day (and into the night).
COOL FACTOR: The nook-and-cranny style of Main Street's Market and Cafe just off Concord Center offers plenty of cafe charm with an eclectic artsy element thrown in. The brick walls and high-top tables lend a bit of hipness to a restaurant that specializes in fresh foods you know and love. ENDLESS OPTIONS: Main Street's Market and Cafe is a must-know if you plan to spend the day exploring all Concord has to offer in the fall. You can start your day here with a hot cooked breakfast or maybe just a pastry and espresso, but then plan on stopping back by for fresh sandwiches made with local ingredients for your lunch. And don't miss the Main Street's chili -- it's a speciality made with butternut squash instead of beans. And dinner, well, they…

This week's bite asks the tough question: If you were stranded on a deserted island, which of these four chain restaurants would you choose to be on the island with you?
As we have been running a weekly restaurant highlight, and most of them consisted of locally owned and operated businesses, we thought we'd take a bite out of the chain restaurants of the area. Out of these four chains, which would you choose to be stranded on a deserted island with you? Acton: Bickford's Family Restaurant – If you're in the mood for breakfast no matter the time of day, Bickford's offers a family friendly dining experience and a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. Bickford's is located at 20 Nagog Park, Acton. Sudbury: Friendly's – You can't go wrong with this traditional dining spot. With the recent closing of several Friendly's in the area, Sudbury's Friendly's is still serving their classic dishes, ice …

This week's bite is in Acton.
Well, it's 99.9 percent official. Johnny Rockets is coming to Acton. The one percent is the health permit that still needs to be filed. According to Acton's Health Director, Doug Halley, there has been no movement as of yet on the health permit but the building permit was recently granted and construction is underway. In an email from the VP of Brand Marketing/Communications for Johnny Rockets, Cozette Koerber mentioned to Patch a grand-opening later this summer. The location is where Friendly's used to be on 387 Massachusetts Avenue, Acton.

This week's bite is in Weston.
Warning – if you're lactose intolerant, leave this page. But Weston's Dairy Joy is much more than ice cream and not to be mistaken for a Dairy Queen. Dairy Joy offers organic ice cream and burgers and dogs. What to order: Ice cream and burgers aside, I'd say try their sweet potato fries. Cool Factor: Dairy Joy is a great spot for kids and adults alike to have a quick stop for some ice cream or burgers.
