Not Your Average Joe's is asking communities support to help bring comfort to the families who lost loved ones in last week's tragic school shooting that killed 26 people, including 20 children. In [light] of the recent events, our Newburyport, Acton and Burlington locations are accepting donations of teddy bears to donate to the children and families affected by this horrible tragedy. If you live near or are by one of these restaurants, please consider donating. Their goal is to raise 550. Thanks for the consideration and support." I agree with Chris. after 9 is a scary time to be hungry. One underrated option is The Local Table, despite having very limited hours, its now our go-to for a bite out (late on the week at least). Good burger and beer on tap, makes me happy.   more ›

Frugal Family

Frugal Family: Dining Deals

VIDEO: Not Your Average Joe's – Not Your Average Restaurant

While most restaurants in Acton were closed because of Irene Sunday night, Not Your Average Joe's stayed open.

Irene left many in the community without power, and the unprepared without food. Not Your Average Joe's had a line of people waiting to sit down and have a meal at 8:30 p.m. last night. Most of the town was pitch black, but when you drove by Joe's, it was lit up like a carnival.
